PETALARK

Privacy

Petalark counts page views on this server. The count does not use a cookie and is not sent to another company.

The count does not keep your IP address or the full browser identifier. A visitor number is an irreversible hash that changes every Beijing day. Raw rows are deleted after 14 days. Daily totals on this server are kept for 90 days. Aggregated daily counts copied to our internal site-management dashboard are retained long term; that copy contains counts, not individual visit records.

What the count keeps: the page and language, the referring host name, the country code, and the browser, device, and operating-system category.

When you parse a note, its share text is sent to our server to fetch the public page. We do not store that text or the media. Opening or previewing a file connects your browser directly to the platform CDN, which receives connection data. The current input stays in tab session storage until you clear it or close the tab. Caption drafts and cover images are processed in your browser and are never uploaded.

Google Analytics 4 is separate from the count above. It stays off until you allow it in the footer when the country is in the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or unknown. In other identified countries it starts on, and the footer can turn it off. Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control keeps it off.

When it runs, the tag sends the page address without the query string, a fixed page name, and the referring site. It does not send text you paste, note media, or files you open. Google receives connection data such as an IP address. Google keeps user-level and event-level data for 2 months.
